I have been needed one of these with these hot climate where I live. There's a lot of humidity in my house. It definitely comes in handy. I'm always putting it in different places. Mostly in the bathroom it has a lot of humidity. It does a great job on dehumidification in my bathroom, closets, under sinks, kitchen and sometimes I even put it inside the refrigerator. The crystals are in dark green when they become full of moisture. Just plug it into the socket about 8 hours approximately. As soon as is in orange color your crystals are renew.
